I have not updated my nav' since I received the car in early 2005. I presume that something has been changed since then?

Software updated with V31, working fine and in spanish in my mk4. Maybe someday we could received an acoustic warming when a POI is near.Thanks to appy for the link

go to the setup screen in menu and it should be in the top right corner.

A 2006 325 navigation is iDrive based. This firmware is not for you, unfortunately.

The iDrive system is a completely different system from the MKxxx - in simple words, the MKIV/MKIII is based on the old Phillips CD-Interactive platform, whilst the iDrive is kind of based on Windows CE.

As far as I know, only the dealer can upgrade your system.
