Hallo. Help please. I own an E46 with MK4 professional and updated the OS to V32 so my version is now 4-1/100, therefore the latest. I got a Mini Cooper S for my wife today and I noticed it runs 4-1/70. Is this an MK4 or MK3? I inserted the 2008/2 Maps High DVD and works great. My question is, can I use my V32 disk to bring the Mini up to date to 4-1/100 or will it not work? I quite like the perspective view, got used to it in the BMW so I want it in the mini. Thanks in advance!

How to update Navi MK3 sw 3-1/20

I just bought a 330 CiA -00. It has Navigator Mk3 SW 3-1/20. I believe I can update it to 3-1/63. Can I use this v32 ? How do I know if the Navigator in my car is "split screen" or not ? There was a message saying that if you try to update with v32 you would damage mk3 without "split screen".

I have a 2004 M3 and I'm wanting to upgrade my navigation. I'm really confused about all the jargon being used, and would really appreciate it if someone would take the time and help me out. I downloaded the v31 update and installed it in my car fine, but now I need the actual updated navigation dvd. I just saw that the v32 update is out, so should I download that? Please do not tell me to search, because I have been for days, and have burned multiple dvds that have not worked. I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Hi,

I was following the earlier thread and noticed that it said you should make sure the iso was in Mode 2 format. I downloaded the file above and extracted the file (NAV_SW(v32).iso) and noticed in Nero that is says it is a Mode 1 file.

Is it still safe to use?

In a Mk4 it is fine

do NOT use it in a Mk3, it will crash the Mk3.

I have v31 in my MK4 and use Europe high version 2008-2 burned on a double layer disc and my navigator become very slow when I am changing some adresses and even when I am scrolling in the meny . When I put in a modded DVD 2008-2 burned on a regular DVD the navigator is normal again. Is the v32 a fix for this problem?

No, V32 contains no change to the Mk4 software on V31.

Both V31 and V32 contain 4-1/100

The slowdown in response is most likely related to the increase in data on the disc (dual layer holds more data)

To incease speed of disc access do the following:

1. Use an original BMW disc, not a copy. It is read faster by the nav, and speeds up operation of the nav

2. Use a single-layer DVD.
