Indeed, you only need the ENG dir, so delete, ITA, GER, FRE and SPA and it will fit.

Thanks for that. I only have a single (big) .ISO file. Any hints as to what tools I need to use to edit it in order to remove the unwanted language directories?

Use something like ultraiso or magiciso, they both work fine.

If you get stuck pm me

I have flashed my friends nav. MK3 with V32 CD. Now his navigation isn't working anymore...

Well.. He has the menu blue screen with white menu. The navigation option in the menu is disabled.

I already burrrned the V22 ISO so I would like to flash to this version. When I sent him this CD will the system accept the cd and downgrade (V32 to V22)?

Will the navigation option in the menu come back after flashing?

Best Regards,
Jordi

You are viewing the TV tuner menu, not the nav menu.

The nav has crashed and has no OS loaded due to using a Mode1 disc. The TV tuner has taken over generating the graphics.

When you insert the Mode2/From1 disc it will load the software - be patient - wait up to 15 minutes with key on!

Once software is loaded, check it in Settings screen. 3-1/63 is the last version ever made.

V32 to V22 is not a downgrade, the Mk3 OS version is identical on both CDs.

In addition to Jochen's words I want to add a couple of mine (don't you mind, Jochen? )

To make the downgrade use v17/

Before any actions with navi unit reset your navi - swith off the ignition, wait till navi goes to sleep (LED goes off), swith off two connectors from the back side of navi unit, wait 15-20 min, connect cables again. Of course, this is not an obligatory for the reanimation of your navi and may be you'll have success without this actions but I always do this before reanimation.

And one more small addition or confirmation of Jochen's words - after you'll insert SWdisk update process will really starts not immideatly, be patient and wait some time

Good luck

I have sent this guy the V22 CD and he loaded it. Now everything is blue and white in the menu. Everything is in the menu besides navigation.

He also has 'CODE' in the screen where he can click on.

Can I try another flash with V17.1 from Index of /web/Descargas ? Will the mk3 flash back from V22 to V17.1?

Can the navigation became unrepairable by flashed with the V32 CD?

I will tell him to put disconnect the accu.

I think that it was the typical problem for MK3.... Check the Mode of navi SW image - it should be Mode2 for MK3... otherwise navi really would crash....

Try to do the following:
1. Find navi SW which was created in Mode2 or create it using Mode2CDMaker, burn it on the slowest speed, make the error check
2. Make the reset of your navi (as I discribed in my previous post)
3. Make the downgrade on v17. Oe more time, it could take several minutes till navi starts updating.
4. Make the update with new Mode2 software.

No sence to use v32 because for MK3 starting from v21.1 soft is the same SW3-1/63 and if this soft is already in the navi it will not upgrade.....
