Has any of the MKIII guys had a problem loading this software into their car? Its the update that the OP posted for the MKIII on page 1.
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Ive been trying for nearly a month now to make different discs using the nightmode update for the MKIII. Ive used over 40 discs in 3 different brands. Ive even tried making the disc on different computers. I burn the disc at speed 1. On some of the discs I made the drive didnt even accept the disc. It would cycle in and out a few times before it would actually sit in the drive. Then my nav screen would just go blank and my system would brick. Each time I had to re-install the version 22 and then try again.

I made an update disc before using this link which brough me from version 17 to version 22 but no 3D perspective mode, no ///M symbol on the screen, or no night mode. It worked on the first try.

Any advice or help is appreciated as Ive been spending a lot of time trying to do this.

EDIT: ANY MEMBERS ON HERE THAT HAVE THE MKIII UPDATE WITH THE ///M LOGO AND THE PERSPECTIVE VIEW AND NIGHT MODE ALREADY ON CD THAT THEY CAN SHIP ME? ILL THROW YOU SOME $$ FOR YOUR TIME. THANK YOU.

I don't think you can have PERSPECTIVE VIEW on a MK3, but check that you are burning a MODE2/xa copy... As the MK3 won't read a MODE1.

I know this question may sound no0bish.. But how can you make sure youre burning it on mode 2? When I load up imageburn, I click "write image file to disc" and I put the speed on 1x. Am I doing it correctly? Thanks for the response.

I just burned another disc.. Hopefully this one will be it. Heres a screen shot... The write speed shows 1x.. it jumps up to 4x once it starts burning.

Do not force x1 speed mate, use the slowest rated for the blank.

I' test all my images on my own mk3 and mk4, before I offer them up.

If this does not work, send me your address (via pm) and I'll send you one.

BTW 3d does not work on a mk3, only a mk4.

Has anyone got the Camera update with the on / off buttons working instead of changing the language?

Only I've heard this can be done, so I thought someone here will have it!

Yes mate it can be done I have had a version written for months now and it works very well.

However the problem (for you) is that each region has different setting for the language files.

Also the 2nd language gets converted to alert off (your 1st language renamed to your 2nd language (text and vioce)).

The downside is that you tv, ulf and TMC (if you have it) are all in the 2nd language (as they have there own text/voice files).

If you use English as your 1st (primary) language then you can code the mk4 to have GB,USA, **** (any other). this fixes this problem.

Have a look at the poison thread mate, it explains it all in detail.

If you have GB, FRE, GER or GB,USA, GER (*** or any other), I can let you have a UK version of this modded OS and it wil work fine.

BTW the cameras are held on the MAP disc not the OS disc, the SO mod, is just to allow camera alerts (not hold the camera locations them selves).

HTH

Now I'm confused!
Currently I have GB, GER & I, when I install the V.32 update, so can I use your version?
I already have the camera enabled POI 2010 map, I just want a V.32 with the on & off button...

Hope that makes sense!?!

Ok.

No, Since you have Ger and Ita as your 2nd and 3rd languages, my modded OS will not work correctly.

So you select the cameras via the POI menu? this is not the same as the POISon modded map disc mate, these do not need to be manually loaded, they load at mk4 powerup and display the icons all the time, you can even have a POI loaded from the POI menu (so you can have 2x POI loaded (cameras and **any** other)).

Easier said than done, the on/off is just for the alert (sound) not the icon.

Perfect sense, you need to mod the OS so that you have the correct languages loaded into 1, 2 and 3 and have the POISon map.

Try this mate

(MK4 ONLY)

v32 (custom version number), ALL OEM but with alert on/off and POIson enabled.
