So i did it!

First it seems the update doesn´t work. I put the cd in the Navi and the screen show´s me "Software Update"...This can take up to 6 minutes......
But after 15min the screen is not gone! Still the same " Software Update" screen.
So i was waiting about 20min. Nothing happend!

After another 5 min i shut of the ignition and try´d to eject the cd. Don´t work!
After some "dirty words" i closed the trunk and i thought by myself " f..k" !!

So i made me a cup of coffee and i began to read this hole thread again.
I found no solution for my problem.

After one hour i went to my garage open up the trunk and squeezed the eject button and....there it goes! The cd came out! YEAH!
But no ///M screeen! I put in the navi-cd and did a little ride with my M3.
After this i went back to my garage. Ignition off, closed the door,used my remote to lock the car. After another 15 min i unlocked the car and:
THERE IT IS!! The ///M is there!

BTW: I like the night view colours also

Is it possible to get a cd somewhere? All the downloading and making sure I have the files copied correctly makes me a bit nervous and I fear ruining the existing nav. Looking for the night mode for a US MKIV, thanks.

Hi, has anyone noticed that some icons do not appear on the screen? There is only voice messaging, but the camera is not displayed on the monitor. I have MK4 with moded V32.

^^ Make sure that you mod the map disc padding files.

Hallo John. The problem is that some icons appear, but some do not. Just sometimes there is only voice warning without icon on the screen. For My country I use CD version of the map from Teleatlas because of the better coverage. For Navteq We are still in the dark

. But for West Europe I will use the High DVD

Hello. Everything seems to have worked well, but I do not have the option for Night/Day in my menu. Has anyone else had that problem that you know of?

I have tried to look through all of the discussion threads here and didn't see anything about it, so please forgive me if this has already been addressed and I missed it. This is also the first time I have ever posted.

How can I change rom_col 0 with romcol 2 and rom_co1 with rom_com 3?
When I try to do this it says "Wrong name it is rom_col 2 or 3"
I renamed rom_col2 and rom_col3 but nothing
I thing it is not simple

You need to edit the hex header in the file (using a hex editor) and then recalculate the crc (using crc24.exe).

However, the rom_col 0 is not changeable, it's locked by the system, you can change rom_col 1 (split screen), but thats it.
