Just recently did a 2 day trip to FL driving the X3. (first time in about 15 years or so).

Entire MP3 collection is on the HD of the CarPC. Listened to a variety of music.

Only occasionally (for news) listened to Sirius.

Personally rarely listen to commercial radio (occasionally BBC news).

The CarPC also offers DiVx movies and GPS (alternate).

It also offers another means of connecting a rear view cam. Application I'm using has both cam and sensors features.

For those that are contemplating the camera, why don't you just buy the OEM one?

Because it's almost as complicated to fit - it replaces the whole of the handle/light strip & it costs about 10 times as much (if not more) than one of the cheapo Hong Kong/China import ones. I priced it from a seller in Germany who wanted 600 Euro's for the kit - that's about £520 UK Pounds or $800!!!

What's the part number of the kit you want?

Backing up at night is an accident waiting to happen. What are the options for my 06/ No Nav?
I did do a search but I am getting confused as to the nav part, is there a way I can get a visual aid without oem nav?
If so how would the display be mounted?

Thanks to everyone who continually shares their knowledge and experience on these forums.

ps. my husband has the backup display in his rear view mirror, I love that set up but assume it's too much to hope for.
You need what I just had custom installed on my X5 in the rear. Check out my latest thread with my new mods and you'll see what I did. It's like daylight out, when I back up at night.
