Congrats on your purchase!! I am also going to get a Mac, but I need to replace an aging desktop. I'm looking at the Mac Pro desktop--lots of room for future expansion, but like my cars, I like to keep my computers going for years to come. I am looking to replace my seven year old Pentium 3 1GHz Dell computer which is maxed out at 512MB of RAM, though its been modded up with two huge hard drives, LCD 19" monitor, DVD-Dual layer burners, etc. However, the programs are getting bigger and I am at my limit with memory with the Dell. I am sure my P3 Dell desktop has more "Miles" than SG's X5!!

The opposite of SG, I already have two nice late model laptops. In fact, I still love my 2.7 lb ultraportable Sony laptop with a built-in DVD-dual layer burner (which is unheard of in the ultraportable laptops) and battery lasting for over 6 hrs!!

I'm waiting for Leopard to come out and get my dual 3GHz processors!!:thumbup:

couldn't find anything less than $68 anyway...but amazon has no tax and free shipping, so it's worth the extra $1

I'm getting free shipping, so I would only save $5.30 in tax. It is being delivered on Friday, so I won't have to wait longer for "Super Saver" free shipping delivery either ;)

Greg, let me know how you like the bluetooth mouse. I hate using the touch pad on laptops, and so I like to have a wireless mouse. With my current Dell laptop, I purchased a bluetooth mouse to go with it, and the thing eats through batteries at a rediculous rate. If I use the computer often, I find myself needing new batteries once every 2 weeks, compared to my previous regular non-bluetooth wireless mouse which lasted several months before the battery needed to be changed. The only downside of the non-bluetooth wireless mouse is that it required a small wireless adapter to be plugged into the USB port of the laptop, thus another item to carry around, while the bluetooth mouse requires no extra adapters and connects directly to the internal bluetooth.

Congrats on the Mac. I am sure that you will love it. I use an iMac at home and a Macbook pro at work - both are great machines. Once you have had Mac you never go back!

I'll keep you informed. I'm picking up the mouse this weekend, but it looks like the computer won't be delivered until Monday now. In the mean time, here is more info. on the mouse LINK. . I'll do some searching tomorrow and see if I can find reviews on battery life etc...

p.s. I HATE having to use touchpads as well ;)

I think you can have either one or two batteries in the mouse, so you can choose your prefered "weight". My friend has one (but non-Mightymouse ) and I think they last about a month-2 months on average. Here's a review.

I love my touchpad, but I can understand why some don't :thumbup:
