My Car is a '05 4.4i with the Sports Package (Australia), with the 6-Stacker, Sat-Nav, TV, and Bluetooth.

Thanks.

No - the DICE emulates the factory changer, the X5 cannot recognize 2 "changers" installed in the same vehicle.

The DICE will replace the factory changer.

I'mjust checking to see what kind of functionality I can expect to get out of my iPhone while using the DICE in my 2002 X5 w/ business cd.

I've read mixed reports, some saying that you can either have text display, or steering wheel controls, but not both, for the iPhone anyhow.

I've already received the DICE unit, but I'd like to know what to expect before opening it up and getting it installed. Thanks.

You will get all of these features using the iPhone. you jsut cannot use the iPod-specific features on the iPhone itself (touchscreen) when connected to the DICE.

All other iPhone features (phone, 3rd party apps) can be used.

Successful Install... but... dash lights on

I just installed the DICE silverline and it works well with my iPhone, but after the install, I now have the Traction Control, ABS, and BRAKE lights illuminated on the dash.
Everything else works, all electronics, lights, radio functions are fine, but those lights are on the dash now.
Is it possible that a fuse crapped out while I was installing the DICE module?
I disconnected the battery before connecting anything to the CD changer cables, so I would be surprised to find that a fuse had blown.
I guess I'm wondering if there is something that can be reset to clear those lights from the dash, or if I should check the connections to the cd changer. I did read that there are two 3 pin connectors, so I guess it's possible that I connected to the wrong one, except that the DICE is working perfectly...

*update*

All is well now. I drove the X5 around the block and the ECU sorted itself out and the illuminated dash lights went out: I now have a fully functional car AND DICE Silverline for my iPhone.

ipod & Sirius

Hello, first post, long time e36/39 owner and now e53. Love the car, glad I made the purchase, now time to start the mods :)

I have an '01 3.0 non nav, non dsp, non obc, business cd version and want to do the ipod and add sirius as well. Production date is 11/00 I believe.

I have done a few hours of research here I think my general alternatives are as follows, I'm looking for comformation or other ideas to see if I got it right:

- DICE unit and sirius radio from EAS if I get a new business cd unit with the correct software. This gives me the best functionality with the radio displays/controls, etc....sound right? ...also the most expensive route and is really more than I want to throw at this mod...

- DICE unit and run a portable sirius unit (like the stilleto) through the aux port on the DICE. I understand I would not have the radio controls for the sirius piece, sound right? if I go this way which DICE unit is better to get, the radio interface or trunk? mainly looking to cut down what needs to be ripped apart....

- Just out of curiosity, can I connect the DICE unit to the business cd?

thanks for any thoughts in advance
Dave

For the RR, you'll need a kit we do not list on the website - the good news is that you are equipped with BMW electronics.

Email or phone me directly and I'll get you set up.
