Yeh, you get that feeling they wanted to dump all the old diesel motors on someone. The twin turbo motor they have had for awhile, they have been using it in the 5 series. NZ has been getting it for more than 18 months in there 5 series sedans.

Don't understand why they just did'nt use the new motor in the new X5 and keep the old diesel for the X3.

Like you said if you had of known you would have held off.

Is it just me, or are BMW the most arrogant car company you have ever dealt with????

I haven't had a lot of dealing with them yet myself other than the sales process on this one vehicle. In my experience with them so far I haven't seen them act arrogantly, but I would definitely say the dealership I've dealt with so far has been pretty ordinary - no different than dealing with toyota or nissan despite the massive pricetag difference

heh not 5 minutes after making that ^^^ post they returned my call and confirmed my build in january with march delivery - and were also able to add in the auto tailgate which was cool

Hi, My new replacement X5 twin turbo is Dec 07 build, delievery end of Jan 08

The twin turbo is about $8,000k more.

funny enough I got news today, that mine wouldnt be untill April........

Which they will confirm by the end of December!!!

Hard to spend $130k around here........
