Hey guys my first post on here. Just got a 2012 X5M and was interested in this. 330i_ZHP is there a cheaper way to do this other than buying the retrofit for X5M or X6? I guess try to find the actual lights at a junk yard or something? Anybody got any ideas? $6500 is just a bit much for the parts haha!

330i great job on the retrofit. Car looks amazing with those. The LED headlights will only work on x6 x6m or x5m correct? Won't fit on a regular x5 e70.

Also what wheels do you have on your M? are those HREs?

I'm thinking of doing this for my x6m as well. I have the BMW instructions, which reference a 5-way miniature connector (item D in the instructions). Does anyone know what part no. this is?

it is just a simple connector used to splice the two wires (one from each headlight - in the add on harness) to the one (grey I think) wire coming out of the FRM3

if I recall, the connection we are talking about activates the led halos

I figured that was it, but did you have to buy these separately? If so, where did you get them and do you have a part no,?

(The picture and the description is the same for a part in a Mini Cooper headlight retrofit - but part nos. aren't listed!)
