I installed my headlights,it's a plug & play and also make sure you do have a FRM3 module(the only 2 things that do not work are your high beams an side LED).I have inside scoop from BMW and we were looking at the headlight harness and the only difference from the regular headlights and the LED headlights is 2 pins that are missing out of the stock harness(1 pin goes to the junction box and the other goes to the FRM3 Module from the headlight) that's each headlight.i already ordered from BMW the pigtails to do my own 2 wire harness per side and once done and coded I'll give an update and help anyone else do it. |
That would be great!
I am sitting on my new headlights, waiting on a harness. I've tried to order the harness on various euro websites, but the sites never allow me to complete the order. I have also tried to register on these sites, but this also fails. (This has really sucked) |

I would prefer to have full functionality.
Having Hi Beams, steering wheel inputs and corner lights are important to me. |
Still bummed we have to take out a perfectly good FRM3 to get one with newer coding installed....BMW retrofit instructions note ISTA/P can update older FRM3 modules but of course no mention of how.
Any thoughts here? Bummer a new FRM3 is $300+. |

In reading the retrofit document, BMW's ISTA tool can update the module without replacement. Hmmmmm wait, can't we access ISTA online for $30 a day or something? https://www.bmwtis.com/ Chris |
