There's not much room for one. Only about 4" of spring is free and clear. The rest is up in the cavity that the air spring normally resides.

I'm gonna have to look for a skinny spring compressor that may fit.

Thanks. You scared the air out of me with your story. LoL. I can not believe the system was designed to be able to allow the truck to sit on the tires in a failure event.

I still need to raise it a tad on all 4 corners. But for a budget coilover setup I am impressed with the ride quality. Not bouncy or harsh like I was expecting. It sure feels more planted than the air setup as well. So far I am very happy. Removing all the air lines an stuff was a huge pain. If it weren't for that you could install these in 3 hours easily.

Looks wicked good man. I like the height you have now. Mine will be here Tuesday. I'm still trying to figure out how to take on the rear coil spring without dropping the subframe. Seriously considering just cutting it.

Thanks. It looks really good but I want a little more tire/fender clearance. I had one slight rub on a big dip in the rear, but the dampers were on the softest setting. So I raised the dampening to mid setting and will raise it a smidge all the way around. I don't want to ever rub and I plan to put a lot of weight in the rear of I ever get back to my stereo.

What type of springs are they? Cutting is an option but I'd be worried when the tension let's go. Not sure how much tension is left at fill droop but still.

Thanks Happy. So far, so good. Well worth the $1000. Found out all my air stuff was good too, just needs calibration so hopefully I can throw that on Ebay or craigslist and make back some of the cash outlay.

Looks amazing! BC Coilovers? You have the 4.8 with 2 axle air suspension? How does it ride compared to the air?

H&R sport springs. I tried to remove the springs when doing the suspension. They were kicking my ass when I did the arms, ball joint and integral link and all that. Couldn't get my compressor on them, and couldn't move them. I didn't think about that unloaded tension iffi cut it. Hmmmm. Looking more and more like dropping the subframe is the best way to so it.
