Indeed, the whole re-wrapping took me about an hour or so once I got control, there are some areas that are a bit more difficult like the thumbgrips, and also because I decided to use the three-tone M style thread layout.

There are quite a few videos and different techniques, I decided not to remove the steering wheel, some do some don't. But the end result is satisfying, I just wish I had it done earlier. I believe the cost was about 25-29 bucks on ebay, good quality.

Francisco

Good info! I have the wrap but have not attempted it yet. Did you remove the plastics?

franccesco30 06-08-2020 03:08 PM

Yes and also the airbag, but only because I wanted a clean look and decided to plastic wrap the bottom part as well. I've seen videos where people don't remove anything, it's just a matter of preference I guess.

Does that mean you have 6 functional homelink buttons now? Kinda cool.

It seems that way! I did it mainly for the compass...

I can only speak for myself. But I think you'll be pleased. I was very pleasantly surprised.
