Makes the plastic trim look like new and on mine lasts easily over a year. It's quite expensive for the amount you get but even the smaller bottle is enough for all outer plastic trim on E53.

I tried mother back to black on them and that didn't help at all. These may need a respray...

Respray? They are just basic plastic parts. Of course they might be beyond repair if heavily exposed to UV light and permanently lost their properties. If you just make them wet do they look better or just as pale?
