Thanks Patrick

I found the same line in the gm3, I think. Does the one file that gets written, the trc file, have every module? Or do I have to write and save every module?

What is gm3 for then?

patrickkc 11-24-2012 04:55 PM

I actually forget if the E53's windows up code is in the Gm3 module. I haven't really coded my E53 for a long long time. If you are able to find the same line in the GM3 module, try that instead and see if it works.

So when I read from car, do I read from GM3? I guess that should be the first question.

you mean like when you press f1, f3 then chose a module? i always just went with the first one. I believe it was EWS?

Right, that is just to read your vin. No I mean when you press back then press process Ecu, it asks for module to read. It lists a lot of them at this point. Which do you choose? And which module do you update when you are done making a new man file?

patrickkc 11-24-2012 07:10 PM

in the list of modules, you said you picked GM3 and you were able to find that line of code i posted right? change it to aktiv, and save the file as .man. press F5, and select coapiReadSgGetFSWPSW and press ok. Then press F2 and select SG_CODIEREN and press ok followed by F3.

test the windows after to see if the windows go up with key. It should work

yes gt1, its in the gm3. that was the correct line, but not the correct module. I dont believe the x53 has a codeable CAS.

E53 has a lot of module options, CAS was not one of them. Cool so I'm not crazy. I coded everything I had lines for. So my man file is ready technically. I'm going to give it another read tomorrow, and hopefully have something uploaded. Thanks again guys.

Slick, please try to remember the steps. I am going to try the same thing tomorrow.
