^^I was waiting to hear from you as well since you don't have a soft close hatch like me!
Going to order the updated spring-loaded stoppers and get some springs for myself now :) |
^nice. can`t wait till get mine.
|
^ I used a little dab of clear RTV to hold the springs against the fitting end of the rod. Just worked it in between a couple of the coils and it's invisible. Sure it nice not having the latch double cycle when the hatch wouldn't come up.

well mine are here ,just waiting for the rain to stop.
|
well I installed my springs with 2 o-rings ,but noticed right away the interior lights didn`t go out. so I removed both o-rings and everything is good to go. definatley helped with the rear tailgate rattles ,basically gone. I was going to try with 1 o-ring but it started raining out.
IF ADDING 0-RINGS MAKE SURE THE INTERIOR LIGHTS GO OUT. |
Which O-rings did you use?
|
just what ever o-rings I found at the hardware store.they where about 1/8" thick. I might try the skinny ones around 1/16'

Had these for about 6 months. About a month ago I started finding my trunk open in the garage when I leave the car unlocked overnight. The other day it opened while I was driving which I am obviously concerned about. Occasionally when I open the trunk I can hear the lock going crazy locking-unlocking. Will most likely uninstall the springs... it is a sweet mod but not worth the issues I am experiencing.
