They are planning to reduce the cylinders to 4 and cut the HP to 200 on the 4.8/50i and make it easy on gas. ;)

Kidding aside, we will have more HP with TT engines from X6 and there will be a 2 versions of diesel. The high end diesel end will have tri-turbo diesel engine.

I bet they will not give it 400HP 4.8 twin turbo but 4.4twin turbo announced for 550, to keep fuel efficiency under control.

More so, I wish they get rid of black bumpers, and I did not like the way they removed prop up function from panorama roof and also posted a hefty surcharge or drive control option, for $3500 taking out of sports package! Imo, that is preposterous change to ask what should have been full sports pacakge for around 3 Grands, separating and splitting it to make it together for $5600:yikes: More so not even std Navigation in 4.8, no std leather for diesel............:yikes: bmw is going down path of mbz what they did few years ago.

The 3er was just refreshed for MY2009. It is due for a complete makeover for MY2012 or 13.

Yes, X5 facelift will be shown at Detroit early January and 3er coupe facelift will be shown at Geneva in March.
