Hmm.. I suppose I was more wondering what invoice would be on the X5 3.5i Premium with the "included options" now. It used to be $47,470...

What I'm confused about is the bulletin says a H-Fi Sound System (with no description) is not standard. Is that they 2011 ZPS Premium Sound Package - $1,640 and then now the 2012 ZPS Premium Sound Package - $1,500 is a step above that?

Can someone explain how they're different or show where I can see pictures? Is it really that big of a deal?

It's still an option. I have PDFs of the order guides for 2012. Dealer just emailed them to me.

Any pricing or options sheets for M's yet?

Not that I have.

I also priced out our 2011 which we just ordered last weekend. With the exact same options, the price is identical. The only thing that will be missed is the LED lights, privacy glass and the roof rails. The latter two I didn't want anyways, so.....just the loss of the lighting. Would have been nice, but certainly not going to take away from this great vehicle!

Car went into production yesterday, 2/25. Woo Hoo!!

I wonder if the new headlights can be a direct replacement without any wiring harness changes for 2011. Then if someone was able to get a better deal on the 2011 by $1k - $2k then it'd almost be a wash wheen buying the new headlights and then maybe even better off if you're able to ebay the original ones. Probably a far fetched idea though.

Oops, I lied. You also get the 4 zone climate with the rear heated seats as part of the cold weather. Now...that is a bummer.

Not too sure about that. Here is what I believe as a side by side comparison at MSRP. Fully loaded 2011 X5d with eco credit vs 2012 X5d with no eco credit. The 2011 is cheaper by aroughly $1,700 and has all the features the 2012 does without the headlights. Which I'm wondering if the headlights could be purchased from the parts department for $1,700.

The assumption I'm making is the sound system for the 2012 wasn't really upgraded to the 2011 Premium Sound Package for the speakers and to get all 16 or so speakers you need the 2012 Premium Sound Package which has the same name and code, but just a smaller price.

So we placed an order on a 2011 35d on Thursday, emailed sales advisor yesterday for the VIN/Production #. He replies today that he doesn't have it. This is suppose to be their last allocation for the 2011 35d, shouldn't they have the production number and the VIN already? I'm starting to wonder if they don't really have one... When did you get the info from your dealers?

riguy231 02-26-2011 02:41 PM

I didn't. Called the 1-800 number. What's odd is it started production yesterday and has an estimated completion of March 8. Anyone know when the 2012 builds start?
