I reordered (long story) my '11 3.5d for week 14 production (mid-April), so looks like 3.5d is '11 until fall.

Has anyone tried ordering a 2012 yet?

My dealer called and said they had no 2011 production slots left at their dealership. If I wanted a 2011 they did find 4 in the midwest region. He was pushing for a 2011 since lease rates will increase on a 2012 by $80-100 per month. I'll know everything today after I price out a 2011 & 2012.

BTW, heard from a birdie that X6 facelift coming later this year will have a diesel version, along with a diesel 6-series. Tri-turbo 45d is the engine they are supposed to get. So a few months wait may be good. ;)

I just got back from my PCD on my '11 Xd and during the factory tour noticed that most of the X6's were 4.0d's so they must be for export but I could see how when the 4.0d is released in the X5 it's all set to go in the X6.

Was this for a diesel or petrol model?

Awesome, that's really helpful. Thanks!

IF you order now, can't you lock in the lease rate, so that you're only subject to the price change?

To follow up on this post, the March leasing numbers are out and appear to be largely the same as February. I think the dealer was feeding you a line about the 2012 lease rates.

That would be amazing at 354 HP and 500+ torque. I wonder if MPG would go down or if price would jump/eco credit go away for the X5.

It would be good to see that, the 8sp gear box, paddle shifters AND active cruise ... all on the 2012 diesel.

Oh, whilst were at it, lets hope for the new 3 color HUD.

It was for the i6 and yes the lease rates ended up being the same so we put an order in for a 2012. Note...I'm not sure what the "package" savings BMW was referencing. In total it will be more expensive than a 2011 (~$700).

Can anyone share current money factors and residual for an 11 X5 35d? If residuals are still high I may be willing to get an 11. I hate to BUY an 11 if the 12's are going to be a bit different (still unknown) but if BMW is keeping the residual high on an 11 I can let them assume the resale risk.

ALSO- what is the current MSD program? Is it still as financially attractive as it has been in the past?

PS- I know that there is a thread on one of the forums (fora?) that has the March rate table but I cannot seem to find it.

THANKS!
