Replaced a noisy front blower fan. Old unit was the original dated 2007.
Get the genuine BMW if you want a quiet fan at lower speeds. |
Do you have to take the whole dash apart like on E53s?

Replaced oil cooler gasket and oil filter gasket. Messy! 1/23 threw on winter tires/wheels |
Threw on summer wheels and tires. Everyone else upgrade to F chassis? Haha
|
I did one of each. E53 > E70 and wife e53 > e70 > f10.

Went to the Auto Skills Center, intending to replace both rear wheel bearings. After getting the right rear hub pulled off, I saw the last time the bearings were replaced, someone cut deeply into the hub. I stopped after replacing only the right rear bearing, since it was the noisiest and will order another bearing and both hubs when the noise crops up again.

Drove it to work today. Will be rotating tires when I get home along with an overdue car wash.

Replaced valve cover. Time stamp on the gasket indicated hairy changed in 2019 but the valve cover failed and was sucking oil into the vacuum reservoir. In addition my boost control solenoid had failed. I have power once again!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...677c77d1de.jpg
