Yes there's an issue.
Why drill all those holes in your OE pedals when you don't have to ???
The OE pedal covers AREN'T screwed on.
Mine have looked great for over a year now.
They fit and look exactly like stock.

The color match of the "M" on the drilled on version pedal covers looks much better.

I've used the drilled ones and like them. Installation certainly takes awhile though. The OEM performance pedals are drilled on too so it adds a level of authenticity with the drilling. I believe all the "genuine" aftermarket pedal covers use mounting hardware as well (AC Schnitzer, Dinan, etc).

Got it - it's a preference thing. Thought there might have been a safety issue based on your response.

First time doing brake bleeding myself. Right on the two year mark. The fluid was disgusting and full of debris.

It was a wash and wax and engine detail weekend. Woot...

Got some work done this weekend. Finished up some maintenance on the wife's X35d. Was forced into re-doing the thermostat after a tech at the shop (only one I trust) I used to work at managed to pinch the gasket on install. The owner would have warranted it no problem but I wanted to do other work while in there so I got the water pump, thermostat, main drive belt, tensioner/pulley, and idler pulleys changed out as well. Also have a new A/C belt but don't have the stretch belt tools so went by the shop and they said they'd install it for me no problem.

I also finished up the brake job and hardware painting on the vehicle. Had done the rears some time back (few months) due to pad wear but finally got around to changing out the fronts so they all match. Color is not to everyone's tastes I'm sure but I've seen this on 4 different vehicles now and I've liked all of them. :D
