Drained the atf today. Should be around 80% new fluid (4qts being ~10k miles old)

Drained trans fluid and transfer case fluid. Took the trans pan down while on a creeper, not fun! Left it to drain overnight.

Watching 24h Le Mans today so trans and TC will wait till Monday when also the diesel filter will come off and a fresh one put on. Then refill and freset adaptations on both trans and TC.

New EGR cooler & changed fluid in front differential.

Changed Gearbox Oil and discovered that the Gearbox Mount is gone too, hence I get a knocking sound every time I engage reverse, busy trying to find the part, damn expensive at the Dealer looking for alternatives!

Reflilled the trans & TC yesterday, reset adaptations today.

Yesterday replaced the fuel filter, never fun. Buttoned up the trans and refilled it as well as the transfer case. It shifted better but still a bit edgy in DS. So, today hooked it up to ISTA and reset the TC and initiated the relearn on the transmission. Wow, shifts butter smooth in D and DS. Very happy I got around to this.

I do agree with the many that recommend a 60k interval for this. The liquid that comes out is thin and looks dark-ish.
On to engine mounts next. :-)

rear diff fluid change
rear brake pads
new air filter
new diverter valve
new intake gasket
cleaned vanos
coolant flush
oil change
and a fresh wash and vacuum

next up is:
new upper adjustable control arms
boost pressure controller
catch can

and a photo shoot :-)

thank you corona, it felt inspiring lol

Camshaft adjuster seal. Old leaking seal has a 2013 manufacture date.

3 Attachment(s)
- Got my rear axle bearings replaced after hearing a roaring sound at speed. The sound is completely gone now.
- Replaced all 4 tires.
- Replaced the brakes all around with Power Stop pads and rotors. The pads I replaced only had about a sixteenth of an inch of wear surface left and the rotors had an eighth inch lip on them. They really don't maintain cars well here in Kuwait.
- Received my inner door handle replacements from Amazon. Eager to remove the sticky stock ones.
- Had my car detailed, polished and waxed. Looks showroom new, other than the damage from the previous owner.
- Found out the stock stereo can play music from a thumb drive.

That blue is gorgeous and nice looking E70!!!

TriX5 09-29-2020 09:14 AM

This Blue is very nice.

In the US it seems 95% of e70s are black, white or silver....... Even to find my Cayenne in dark blue metallic was a bit of a unicorn, though there are quite a few in that color in my neighborhood, they seldom show up in the trade in that color.

Congrats, looks very good.
