Hi bcredliner,

As a temporary connection to test out the app, I went to my rear side panel CD player connector. It is the connector with three wires. (IBUS White, Positive Red, Ground Brown). I had to use a very long USB extension cord but it told me what I wanted to know and confirmed functionality.

I then wired it permanently to the Blue NAV plug in the dash (dissecting it and placing the wires in the back of the plug on top of the connectors then shoved the connectors back into the plug).

All is well for me.

Mike

Ibus adapter is what I would try first since it has to be wired in anyway.

This thread is crazy out of control in length, but what a resource!

I just installed a "Silverstrong Zenith" purchased in the recent sale. Its a quad core 2gb PX3 processor and seems to go really well. Sound quality is great compared to previous, however it did have a hacked in Parrot MKi9100. UI is nice and simple. Steering wheel controls just worked (but previous/next track are backwards).

Running the cables through the interior sucked, especially by the time you add in a RCA lead for aftermarket sub, aerial extension, rear camera. Only broke a couple of interior clips. Took about 5 hours to get to the point of assembling dash.

Still need to run the camera and microphone up to the rear view mirror, but thats kind of scary. iBus adaptor install and dash finish off today.

This thread along with Crystal's install doc was a great help. Thanks!

Glad it helped ! Shoot some pics and add it to the thread here. It helps others to see what's out there and what people got to work.

So I cant figure out the last step with out some help! It came with these two little metal brackets, which I figure I need as when I use the two top screws to mount it tilts the unit back and leaves a gap at the bottom. Where / how to they go?

This is the best I can find for explaining the brackets. But mine was factory nav, so did not need to cut the dash up. Maybe it is missing the big bin out the back that the factory unit has.
