I know Dolphin installed them & think he used the OEM ballasts, etc. Hopefully he will see this post and reply.
Cant open the OEM lights - that was my idea but the production date is 08/03
Hey Philly...sorry for the delay but was on a trip, just got back.

About the adapters...if the back of your headlights are like mine they wont fit, as they are different from the ones on the link...the ones we've got have a twist lock for the bulb to be held in place.

I did use my OEM ballast, bulb and self-level...I don't have pictures of it or a way to really explain the how-to but it's simple...if you set them side by side and start tinkering with them you will see there's a way. I already told you about the self-level, that's just a swap from one to the other but for the xenon bulb fitment basically you make the bulb socket on the new headlight fit in the OEM bulb holder anyway you can...there are a few ways...if after you get the new ones and start tinkering still dont see a way PM with photos so I can help you

Great, thanks Dolphin for your input...

Looks like an interesting project - but I will make it work When I saw these light I knew I need them on my X...

Sorry if you answered this before but did you use the AE's wire harness to connect them?

Yes I did because my X is canadian spec, but if yours is US spec you should have the plug needed for the AE's next to the high beam plug, check your OEM headlights...good luck!

Are you sure? I thought they were just little adapters that change how/where the tongs for screwing in the headlight attach to the housing? I mean, I GUESS i've been wrong before....but you didn't hear me say it

Consider it done! I'd like to know if/how they work also. Maybe I can adapt the DDMTuning/Apexcone HID's from my 7 into the X until I decide which headlights to go for.

Didn't you pay like $1k for them? I'm sure at this point you're not going to be going lower than the ebay version. I'd just be emailing and calling them daily after spending that kind of money. Selling them won't take that bitter taste out of your mouth from a bad transactions, plus it won't make them treat the next person any better.

whoaaaaa yeah i'm not going that low. and plus they are brighter than the ebay version.

i really have alot of thinking to do. i learned alot with this car, as it is the first one i heavily modified. i now know what to look out for in the future that will avoid me wasting $$. (this is me trying to justify getting ripped off to myself LOL!)

i am working on getting them returned, or the issue fixed, but i know he will give me a hard time. i just wanted to see if another memeber was interested who wanted to try to use their OEM ballasts or if they have stock halogen to use that in this setup.
