I once spent about 3 days in Bahrain and was ready to leave after a couple of hours. And that was in February (many years ago). So I can only imagine ...

It's brutal. Kuwait has had the hottest recorded temp on earth in the past. I think more than once.
It's ridiculous out here.

I was in Bahrain way back in 06, and I don't recall it being as hot as Kuwait.

Let me know I'd be interested if you still have them around! Been so busy lately so finally back on the forum grind, car is still running strong with 155K miles now!

FYI-I found some rear links that will drop it a little more than the H&R links. It was years ago so I don't remember the source. With 18mm Velocity spacers I can still get it into proper alignment without any aftermarket suspension additions. Only downside is that they are short enough that when it is jacked up the links can tip to the wrong side which causes a suspension inactive light. Once you are aware no problem to prevent.

Interested if you remember the vendor/manufacturer.

I think I found them on eBay. Too long ago to do anything other than guess.

And did they tell you that you don't actually need a new airbag, since you don't have a sport steering wheel? And yeah, there's not even anything to look at if you have a regular 4-spoke steering wheel?

There's a thread on here about the airbag recall, and I am convinced the geniuses at BMW corporate have turned this Takata recall into a money making scheme. My statistical analysis so far from that thread, shows a 0% chance of getting an airbag replaced, and 100% chance of getting a $1200+ estimate for something else. Seriously. Check it out:

https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...ag-recall.html

So yeah, it's clearly a 30 minute job, even with a few smoke breaks. But the $1200 is mandatory per the recall protocol. You DO get free coffee with that though, which should take some of the sting off.
