Shit yea I just re-read your original issue. The upper console buttons wont work without the key. The rear buttons work all the time. Carry on lol

Good stuff. You'll have to post updated pics when you get the body fixed.

As others have said, the X5 will get under your skin if your not carefull. We've already put thousands into ours but we still love it.

Your sunroof leak is probably clogged drain lines. I believe they run down the A pillars. I'm not sure of the cleaning procedure but someone on here probably does.

You've come to right place. I've only been on here since last February and I've learned a shitload. It helps that I have two other Bimmers in the family like you do. You already know what yer in for

yeah, I'm going to dig into drain lines.

I've heard a few people now say their favorite X5 was a 4.4 why is this?

Why 4.4 when you can 4.6?

You can 4.8 as well. That's my favorite.

keep going, don't hold too long with repairs as it will break another things... or, when other things break you will have more work to do... have fun, great project.

Question.

so the owner told me that he replaced the self leveling sensors but when he started it up the car just went to max height.

Am I right in thinking that I just need to get that GT1 computer thing to calibrate the air system?

for now the auto is disconnected and it's in manual mode with a wired switch.
