BMW appears to have gotten smart on one thing... no more CD/DVD changer in the Premium sound package. It appears they substituted Sirius radio and the Ipod interface for the changer. If they had this option for the 2010, I would have ordered it. But having no use for a CD changer, $1,800 seemed a tad high for the improved sound.

Sad they did not offer it...but again not having the option saves me 1500 as I would not have been able to resist...as for the jet vs sapphire...Im lazy so sapphire it is....

Yep this has been beat to death. Jet Black has a mirror finish--Sapphire is more milky. To me, there is no lazy man's black--you have to be dedicated to maintaining it. If you don't, you will hate either one. I always roll Jet Black---just has a deeper shine.

Boo ... No active cruise on the 35d :-(

something tells me that if diesel sales continue the way they have being, we will see the 40d perhaps Sep 2010 and new tech like active cruise on it.

What makes you think so? The ZCW for M-package is $150 less than for non-M, clear indicator of no heated steering wheel...

The heated steering wheel wasn't available whgen I built my M Sport ...the ZCW was $150 less at that time also.

Speaking of steering wheels, is the "M-Sport" wheel the same as that in the X5M or more like the normal sport version with the added "M" logo?

Just got back from placing order...sure enough, Jet black is a special order and not available yet. Ours will be third week of April for June arrival. It was a bit of a whirlwind and I wasn't able to really go through the ordering guide with prices, but here's what I do remember:

Xdrive 35i Premium - Comes with Style 334 19" Wheels, which I haven't seen in person
Tech Package - $3,100 (2010 was $2,600)
Comfort Access - $1000
Multi-Contour Seats - $1300
Sirius- $350
Convenience - $2000 (i think)

We lost the Holiday Credit by passing on the 2010 we previously ordered, but the final and the MSRP of the 2011 was almost $2000 more than the 2010 equipped with the same options. So it looks like it cost me $4500 + whatever less favorable lease rates I'm expecting to go to the N55 & 8-speed auto from the XDrive 30. It hurts, but I think I would have been really unhappy had we taken delivery of that car. At least my CA is honoring our $1000 over invoice deal.

If anyone has actual pics of 19" style 334 wheels, please post! I've seen the ones in the ordering guide for Europe and they look alright to me.
How were you able to order already?
