Its not that difficult to workout the invoice if you have the retail price. Markup percentages are almost the same from previous year. Use a spreadsheet and the 2010 invoice price and apply the % for new items.

Base invoice price is 8% less than suggested retail price rounded off.
e.g. xDrive50i retail price is $59,275 and 8% less of that is $54,333 rounded off to $54,350 being the invoice.

Does anyone else find it interesting that BMW comes out with a tweaked 35d and calls it 40d, but does a far more significant rework of the 35i but still calls it a 35i?

And as someone (Penguin?) mentioned back earlier in this thread, do we really need eight speeds? Sounds more like oneupmanship on Mercedes Benz to me.

^ well the 35i only existed in the X6 but they're not using the N54 anymore so I am a bit surprised there's no acknowledgement of that.

So the 3.5i will have the same 0-60 as the outgoing 4.8, which is 6.4 seconds... Not, 4.8 has 350hp@350lb/ft engine, while 3.5i has 300hp@300lb/ft engine... Some one please explain to me how they managed to get the same 0-60 with less powerful engine... Does the new 8-gear tranny have anything to do with that?

I have N54 in my 335, it is a powerful engine, N55 is a bit faster on achieving hp/torque by 0.5 second...

Can't wait to drive it (the 3.5i)...

Probably has to do with the Torque Curve on the 3.5i.
