Couple days ago but confirmed (I think) my valve stem seals are leaking. Ugh. So adding that to the to-do list.

Would bad CCV/PCV have the same symptom? Let it idle for a bit, blipped the throttle when I got back to the car and there was a small amount of blue smoke.

Last Thursday night noticed a coolant leak from what looked like under the reservoir tank. Woke up Friday morning and removed it. Got a replacement tank from the dealer and installed it. All looked well for awhile until I got back home and more coolant leaks. Must be another hose or the water pump. Glad I got that warranty if it is the pump. Got a brand new X5 as a loaner though. Really nice but a whole lot more buttons and switches than mine.

Did you replace the hoses when you did the tank? Replaced mine a couple weeks ago and pretty positive it was the o-ring in the hose leaking, not the tank

I sure didn't. But good to know. It is at the dealer now so I will let the warranty cover it.

Have you replaced your CCV breather diaphragms? That's a cheap first step, but it's probably valve stem seals. I tried an additive this oil change interval called ATP AT-205 Re Seal. It's not your average thick goo. My consumption appears to be down (a quart every 2,500 miles instead of every 2,000 miles), and I have yet to blip smoke out of the tail pipes after letting it idle, which it used to do.

I have not. Already purchased them so they're sitting at home somewhere. It will be my first approach for sure.

Consumption was a quart/4k. But based on last check it's looking more like 3k. We've been doing more short drives with a loaded car (just finished moving) and AC has been blasting constantly which probably doesn't help.

Pulled the AC Compressor and started rebuilding it. New pulley bearing and new housing gasket (because I took it apart to inspect the inside)

How tight is the new cover? Did you have to glue in place before stitching it up?

Whistle

Noticed that, bad smell started coming from air vents when turning A/C on. Cleaned A/C evaporator with holy water and special chemical solution. Will check the results tomorrow 🤞
