Do you have instructions for a diy?

Cleaned the engine bay. Simple green and a hose. Covered the alternator with a plastic bag.

Baby needed some new shoes. Hit Costco again since her last set of Bridgestone Alenza Plus tires lasted 70k miles. Love the smell of fresh rubber in the garage.

Change the filter by the blower on the passenger side probably has mildew

Got three recalls fixed with one visit to the dealer.

Factory Recall Campaign -

1 B160416 / 16V-746 Recall Fuel Pump

2 B651916 / 16V-364 Recall Front Passenger Air Bag

3 B650416 / 16V-071 Recall: Driver's Front Air Bag

Doesn't seem to be anything broke or damaged (saw some posts where others had issues). Although a code scan afterwards had 10 new codes I hadn't seen before on this vehicle. Took note, cleared, and all seems 'normal'.

Finally making some real traction ticking things off the long to-do list.

Its very tight. Cover comes with a weird 2 sided tape. Honestly, it looks factory, you wouldn't know if you didn't know.

My wife has tried a couple of times to convince me to do this but I have been very hesitant. Looks very nice!

Cleaned, "de-sooted" (?), and polished the chrome tips. Previous owner + valve stem oil burn had them looking horrible. Pics are of the nearly finished product. They were mostly black on the bottom interior of the tips.

Also polished the factory tail lights as a temporary 'fix' till they are replaced (melted bulb syndrome). Looks much better!

Also changed out the headlight bulbs - PO left two different ones/two different colors - very annoying! X5 is no longer 'cross-eyed'!

Also, picked up parts to fix a windshield washer leak and a new gasket set for bank 1. Even with new bolts/grommets/gasket back in Oct last year, opening the cover up a few times (3, I think) wore them out enough to make it necessary to replace it all. Weekend job/s!

Unfortunately the chemical I used didn't work out. I will post pics or video for DIY this coming weekend if you want.

I change mine usually every year. In my case it's evaporator.
