Yes, you need to force the nav to also update the new voice files as if its in 0506 then it will not load the files...

You will also need to change its name to the language you will be using to "swap" the language with the one you want so,

if you use eng_f.csf (as alert on) then rename rus_f.csf (mod) to eng_f.csf

If you want the alert on/off option then you also need the file unmodded (off) and modded (on).

So if alert "off" is fre_f.csf, then rename rus_f.csf (no mod) to fre_f.csf

1 more question :

If i whant russian language in menu,i need change strings and fonts in navboot.
Correct, export the file you want then edit each string and then save then import back to navboot

Quote:
But,i need change strings in English and French language to russian?
ONLY If you want alert on/off then you need to change 2 languages, other wise you 1.

Quote:
And can i change strings and fonts i patched navboot file?

Thanks
Yes, export a language, then mod it, then import, then save navboot.

So how i understand,if i need mode alerts on/off i need do this :

if you use eng_f.csf (as alert on) then rename rus_f.csf (mod) to eng_f.csf

If you want the alert on/off option then you also need the file unmodded (off) and modded (on).

So if alert "off" is fre_f.csf, then rename rus_f.csf (no mod) to fre_f.csf
And tell me please, whant i can put in navboot file - strings :

word 001/0348 "" empty - correct?
word 2 001/0354 "off" - correct?

Tell me exactly what language you will be using for ON and which for OFF mate as its getting confusing now.

So:-

On = ????
Off =????

Also what is the 3rd language thats set on your mk4???

for example.

1: fre
2: ger
3: spn.

You tell me what you have.

Hallo Bagum4uk, in Russian torrent sites there is ready to use v32 soft version in Russian. I think that they use ccfj1's mod for basis, because they are the same and after that they input Cyrillic letters in strings and fonts. I used this version to make soft in Bulgarian . But You don't need to. Only use Russian version.

OK, so English (GB) will be the primary and French (F) will be the secondary, German (D), will be hidden.

So.

Voice:
Rename the rus_f.csf (modded for alert) to gb_f.csf
Rename the rus_f.csf (unmodded, I will send you this) to fre_f.scf

and place both new files into 0507 and then change the 2xtbl files to reflect this (to force an OS update AND a voice update).

Text:

Export the Lng_English to disc and then edit all the strings to Russian (leave 0/0 and 0/1 or it won't work)

eg:
0/0 "GB" (no change)
0/1 "English" (no change)

Edit:

1/347 "Language" to Alert on/off"
1/348 "D" to " "
1/349 "F" to "OFF"
1/350 "GB" to "ON"

Then save as Lng_English and import to Lng_English in navboot,

Then edit Lng_English and edit

0/0 "GB" to "F"
0/1 "English" to "français"

And save as Lng_french, then import to Lng_french in navboot file.

Make sense??

BTW, this only changes the nav text and voice, it does not change the TMC or the TV or the ULF voice and text.
