Thanks!

This depends on if your favorite radio stations are broadcasting in HD. Check www.hdradio.com to see what's offered in your area.

Good call... perhaps I'll stick with my original plan.

I chose to keep my ipod in the trunk. Seems to work fine. The problem I have is that every few days the DICE/IPOD says DETACHED. Unfortunately I have to go to the trunk and cycle the power on teh IPOD. Sometimes after I cycle the power on the IPOD I get ATTACHED, however, I cannot get the DICE/IPOD to work. Any ideas? X5 3.0 w/nav, no DSP.

Losing text on nav screen and OBC

I have the same dreaded problem here. It was an easy install and Im using a 1st gen NANO with updated software. Even so, When I hit mode to get to the IPOD I have to hit 6 then 2 for playlist. the text rarely is correct. Seems like a defective product.

My X5 is a 2006 4.8is with bluetooth. Production is 10/2005

Are you leaving the iPod connected to the DICE in the vehicle overnight?

Perform the following steps:

1. Disconnect iPod from cable
2. Remove battery cables, negative first
3. Touch battery cable terminals together (away from battery) for +5 seconds, a small spark is normal as this is stored power draining from the system.
4. Allow cables to remain disconnected for about 5-7 minutes
5. Reconnect battery cables onto battery, negative last.
6. Reboot iPod by pressing on MENU and CENTER buttons for +5 seconds and then reconnecting to the DICE cable after the reboot process is completed.

Let me know if these steps correct the problem.

Ok...I disconnected the two plugs to the DICE module and the vehicle battery for about an hour (had errands to do) as well as reset my Ipod Nano. Then I connected everything and still have the same issues. When I plug in my Ipod Nano, I leave it alone for about a 60 seconds then I push 2 (for playlist) I select the playlist I want then I puch 1 (to cycle through the songs on the playlist). The first song tag shows on my OBC. After that, nothing...I cycle through and the tag stays the same. It doesnt change with each song.:(

Sounds like a possible configuration issue. Are all the DIP switches on the module set to the UP UP UP UP positions?
