Tom,
How do i find out if i have analog dsp or digital dsp. I have a 2000 X5 4.4 Nav with 6-disc. There is no DSP button but if i go to the menu screen i do have section in there titled DSP with a full equalizer to adjust, if that helps. |

Of course it does, lol. I knew I couldn't get away with only spending $160 lol. Thanks for the quick response.

I have all of these problems/symptoms. I have tried all your suggestions (battery cables, etc.) I have tried all the display options 6->2/3/5/6/7. None of them works consistently. The iPod doesn't have to be left overnight. I can't get it to Attach/Start after running into the office for a meeting. Often the text is stuck at "TR( TR" or something to that effect. The music plays just fine and the track up and down still work. The lockup of text will occur whether the text is displayed on the dash or the Navi display. Is there a software update on the horizon or is this unit just bad? |

Also verify your DIP switches are in the UP UP UP UP positions on the module. |
Exactly what happens to me on my '06 X5 with Nav and I have my screen split. This is definitely faulty.

16:9 Navi
All switches up. I'll try 6->6 and 6->4 again tomorrow. As with NY-4.8IS, I have my Navi in split screen mode. My MkIII is at the latest software version for the MkIII. |
Hi Tom
I recently bought an X5 e53 and DICE unit. I installed it myself and everything worked fine for the last week. However today every second time I started the car it failed to recognise the IPOD/DICE units and said NO DISC. So I decided to disconnect everything and re-initialize everything. I did this but now I get text on the MID/Dash saying CORE NOT DETECTED Once again I have unplugged everything and will wait until overnight to re-attach everything but am I missing a step? All switches are up and I am using a 30gb IPOD Video with 1.3 Firmware Any help appreciated! |
iPOD Compatibility
Hi Tom,
Is my DICE Silverline compatible with the iPOD Classic 120GB (6th Generation)? Which of the CURRENT iPOD lineup (Classic, Touch, Nano) are compatible (I have the non-DSP trunk mount in my 2005 X5). Thanks! |
