I use rejex on my X, it lasts a very long time, great stuff.

http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-related-...033-rejex.html

Maybe if you contact Rejex directly they can tell you if it's available locally?

I buy it from skygeek

Buy RejeX Surface Polymer Treatment, 16 Oz Bottle

Which is probably a good start for you to look, Rejex was originally used by pilots so maybe the local small airport or plane supply store might have it?

EdwardL,
mate you cant get it locally I tried about a year ago. there are just as good polymer sealers over here in Aussi that you could use. go to Welcome to Waxit.com.au - Australia's home of Premium Car Care Products, brands = Pinnacle, Swissvax, Zaino, Wolfgang, Poorboys, Klasse and have a look at what Dave has to offer, you wont be disappointed.

Bozz.

X5 35d Sport with Innovations Package, Titanium Silver, Black Leather /w Burled Walnut Wood, 20” Wheels (design 02LE, Webb Spoke), Aluminium Running Boards, Panoramic Sunroof.

What do people reckon would be a fair price driveaway, new?

Window tint cost

Hi all,

I'm wanting to get my x5 tinted - have been quoted $595 for Bolle MkII tint (not the greenish one, but more blueish - so I thought it would match my carbon black X perfectly. Plus UV protection is 80%. This price includes the pano roof. It's darkest legal @ 35% all round except pano roof, which will be 20%. To get this price I had to forego the free bolle sunnies, which I don't need anyway.

Anyone else here got Bolle tint MkII? Is it worth the premium or not?
What have others paid for tint?
Is it a good/bad idea to do the pano roof? There will be no manufacturer warranty on it, I was told.

Thanks Thunder22. I've found a local supplier - and yes they are a plane supply store.

Can I put RejeX on straight after clay bar, or would it be better to hand polish it first e.g. with Adam's Revive Polish or Chem Guys Pro Polish or similar, then apply RejeX? Any recommendations which polish?

Thanks Bozz. If you're still interested in trying out RejeX I found an Aust supplier: SkyShop - Australia's Online Pilot Supplies Shop for all your Aviation supplies and flight equipment for pilots, students and aviation enthusiasts.. They don't list it in their online shop but they do have it - I enquired via email, and placed my order via phone.

Wife and I liked the look of the Bolle MkII blue tint over Midnight Express so got the Bolle done at Tint-a-car yesterday for $575. Will take some pics this weekend sometime, when the car's clean, and post here.

Hi .dee, just wonder if you have taken delivery of your new x5d?

The deal you had was so hard to replicate. I got quote 115k today for 30d sport with similar options of yours plus 7 seater.

You paid 103k for the 5 seater, so to match your deal with mine 7 seater would be around 108k. I tried to push the dealer for 110k, but no luck. 115k was the best I could negotiate.

as a matter of fact picked up the car today at 10am, it was perfect, althought its hard not to be happy with any new toy. in any case, got an umbrella, the ipod "y" cable and $100 voucher to top it all off.

also that price included tint for what its worth.

i mentioned this in the past, the key is the sales person, if he is willing to deal, then he will push for you even with their manager, if however they aren't willing to deal then its an uphill battle.
