Hi .dee,

would you mind sharing the rate you have got?

Thanks.

I do not want anything that leaves a greasy, slippery shiny finish, or something that can dry out/fade the leather over time. What's Zaino like, and how long have you been using it?
I can vouch for zaino. Use both the cleaner and conditioner on my x5 and 135. Definately NO sticky residue, not greasy and not shiney. I also tried it on my sisters 320ci which looks like it's never see a cloth in the 7 years that she's had it. I was surprised and very happy at how it came out, looked like new without that 'artificial' greasy look. It even fixed most of the creases and scuff marks. Would recommend doing the treatment at least every 6 months, especially in qld due to the harsh weather that we have. Will keep your seats looking brand new and slow down aging.

Thanks for the info. Because I couldn't find an Australian source for Einszett Leather Care, I am now tossing up between zaino and leather masters (the soft cleaner and the protection cream). I've read good things about both so it may come down to a coin toss.

must bump this thread back up before it venture way into the dark-land (page 2 onwards...)

the car is back to the dealer on Monday week after next. The centre LCD screen in the instrument cluster is too dim during the day (fine at night though). most likely will have the cluster replaced. 20min. job according to the tech.

btw. anyone have any photos of the instrument cluster during the day?

2 Questions for Australian BMW drivers
Q1 - Service bulletins
Does anyone in australia get access to service bulletins through their dealer? I have never seen one and wondering if SA's are prepared to share this info with customers here. My experience is BMW likes to keep customers in the dark

Q2 - iDrive software upgrades
The new iDrive is expected to have a number of new features over time for the Australian market. My dealer told me the other day, they do not actively tell current owners when these new features become available - getting new features upgrades is unusual, and even finding out about them is difficult. What experience do others have with this?
New features in the pipe-line include: traffic management data & voice-input on satnav addresses

No, but I wouldn't expect it either. No other car company does it, why should BMW?

Can we, or have we tried to ask the Mods if we can make this thread a sticky? I'm sure the 839 previous posts should count for something? Many other forums have country or region specific sections. Who agrees?
