Hi, Does anyone know of a good BMW bodyshop in Sydney, I want to paint my front and rear bumpers in body colour. The colour is Rubin Black a BMW individual colour so I want to make sure the colour matches. Thanks.

Thanks Owen VEENSTRA

its an interesting mix in the 2011 models price-wise. I thought that metallic paint was NCO option now?

The Innovation pack has certainly added more bang for buck (e.g. comfort access, HUD etc) ..mine only got xenons, tailgate, folding mirrors, high beam assist in the 2010 35d innovations

I notice they have also made 19's standard and you can only get SPORT model ... probably makes sense for the mass market who never go off-road ..but some farmers / offroaders no dount will have some views .... luckily you can delete the sport suspension so that people fillings don't fall out on rough roads

did you manage to get the 35i and 50i details so that I can compare ?

thanks again

You don't have to be a farmer or an off-roader not to like Sports suspension or big diameter wheels/low profile tyres. All you need to do is spent much of your time on country roads.

yep - good point. will be interesting to see if agri-type people start looking over the fence now at the LR 4D or even RR Sport with the new TT D.

By the way - Motor has review of new Porsche Cayenne - they were fairly impressed with the S model (atmo 294kw, 500NM). Must admit the reshape is starting to make it look more attractive than the frog face it used to have ....middle console looks like a Airbus cockpit though with all the knobs and buttons ...will be intersting to see what VW do/position with the new 2011 Tuerag ... might give those looking at 35i or 30d another option to think about ... and probably saving enough to have the wife follow them home in a new GTI to boot ..

I came close to buying a RRS TDV6 when I bought our E53 3.0d but decided on the X given the impeccable service my wife's 3 x 3 Series (two E36 one E46) had given and the fact that the E53 3.0d out performed and out handled the RRS TDV6 and had a better build-quality/reliability record. And I didn't need the off-road advantage of the RRS given that I have an old (1990) Range Rover for bashing about. All the new car needed was all-round practically on secondary roads and the ability to cope with farm tracks and easy fire trails ... all of which the E53 has, especially with standard suspension and on 17s.
