Did a detail wash prior to heading off on a 1100mile trip to FL.
Hope it's as uneventful as the 1500mile trip last month in the W211 Benz. |
Enjoy, hope you have lots of fun on your trip!

Thanks Brian.

Looks like I can't get rid of the X5 now. OEM hitch, harness and module. Missing the bumper bar as that was crunched Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
^ nice find!!
You can mod your existing bumper reinforcement to accept the tow hitch while you work on sourcing a replacement. That's what I had to do when I got into a little fender bender. My original reinforcement had a slight bend to it and I wasn't able to get it square enough to fit the bumper. I ended up cutting the welds from a non tow hitch reinforcement and made it fit the tow hitch. |

Yep I don't plan on buying the other bar. Was gonna cut it up anyway. I just have to find a shop willing to cut some plates for me. My kit was missing the "spacers" as I guess whoever installed it didn't put them on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I finally re-installed my passenger side fender flare last night.
The fender trim that came with my running boards didn't contain the 4.8is flares. Let me assure you the truck looks super goofy with only the rear part of the flares installed. I was able to disassemble my original, non-running board trim to remove the flare piece and reinstall, but on the passenger side the clips broke and fell out. I ended up fabricating new ones with sheet metal and a dremel then swamping the damn thing with epoxy. End result is it's locked on tight and I'm not longer missing a hip. Now to find the lemans flairs for the front. :) |
