Over all the ride is Great but cant really go fast here in NYC with this pot holes cant afford to crack another rim and tires. A bit stiffer ride very responsive hugs the road specially with the 315's

It was time for a visit to my friendly service writer at Autobahn for an oil change (M series for the summer), rear pad install and brake fluid flush. He kindly noted seepage at the oil pan and rear main and offered to repair ;). Can't quite justify spending twice the vehicle's value :rofl:, but he understands :thumbup:.

An extra six thousand miles of boat towing on this set of brakes knocked about thirty thousand miles off the life of the rear pads compared to the front. First set of Akebonos went 163,000 miles at 2.5mm remaining, but this pair of rears only made it 110,000 at 3.0mm. At least the rotors still don't show any wear.

2004 325i sold at 123,600 miles
2001 325i sold at 66,000 miles

Still on the original transmission?

Original transmission with original fluid. Software was flashed once, never any issues.

:yikes: most excellent. I'm at 160k, changed filter and fluid twice. Guess I should quit worrying.

What did you do to / for your E53 today??
 

Finally received OEM tow hitch kit. Install planned for next weekend

I was so impressed with estorilx53's ride I had to go with a set of 20" style 87's wrapped in Conti DWS06 rubber. Now I need to source out the flaring options. Any recommendations? I read the 3.0d retrofit kit is no longer available.
