On your coolant leak check the heat exchange block for the transmission as those o-rings hide and get overlooked (don't ask...)https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b0c58a5525.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0ab17791c8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...dd22847dee.jpg

Just tripped 110k

Just turned 141k on my 01 AT 3.0.
Too bad the cabin filter drain got clogged some and caused water to leak and now my driver side window switches only work when the battery gets low. And then stops working when it gets charged up. Sigh. I hope it is only a relay that is damaged and not a module. |
Still sitting at 62K Finally got tired of waiting for the fuel pump assembly to come off back order so I installed the pump. Takes longer to get the pump out of the assembly then it does to R&R the whole project.

180k miles on mine, 178k miles on wife's (bought at 128 and 112 in 2015)
My goal is to get to 256 on mine and 224 on wife's (double the original miles). |

97k Just did full front and rear suspension components plus BC coilovers. After dialing it in and adding rear spacers the truck goes in for an alignment and packed away for the cold NY winter. (Just kidding I’ll take it out on dry weekends) I do however have an oil pan leak that’s bothering me tremendously. I’ll get to it in a couple of months along with chain guides just to be proactive. Oh and I have to sort out my tranny. Even though at 100% it’s still a slush box. Sent from my iPhone using Xoutpost.com |
Chain guides can last 200,000+ change the tensioner regularly. Chain guides usually fail from lack of tension on the chain. If you change the tensioner every 60-80,000 miles you can most likely get 200-250,000 miles on a set of chain guides.
I've done the job twice and if I owned M62 motor I would just use an inspection camera annually to check the condition and replace the tensioner religiously. |

Off to look at tensioner write ups, thanks! Thoughts on valve stem seals? I’ve seen them being circulated as an issue on this forum here and there... Sent from my iPhone using Xoutpost.com |
Vss is just what you have to do if you have to.
