I believe it's 2 wk's prior to production; I'm waiting on a reply myself from Pentagon Auto Sales.

Since then, it has advanced two steps in the last four hours, or so...The next step is release to WAGGONERS TRUCKING.

I believe it will be delivered to my dealership tomorrow (the VPC works on Saturday's).

Has anyone in Europe taken delivery of a 2011 X5 yet? I ordered mine in January and I was given a production slot in week 21 at that time !

Only because my dealer felt sorry for me as my 535D has technical problems on a weekly basis lately, I managed a production slot in week 18. I hope it's made by now, but here in Europe we can't track the production status ourselves. Once produced, transportation takes about three to six weeks. I hope to have mine by the end of May. I will have waited 4.5 months by then. I think that's hard to imagine for you people in the US, isn't it?

Belgians ordering an X5 today have to wait till October for their car to arrive...

I ordered a 3.0d with sport package. I was told waiting times for a 4.0d would have been even longer.

Anyway, my dealer would get back to me with more news tomorrow.

UPDATE: 79 2011 X5's are being held at the Oxnard VPC...NOT because of EPA/CARB issues. This was already a hurdle-cleared. It is the seat module that the cars are missing/need updated. All of these should receive their updated modules/have them installed within six days time.

Can anyone else verify that the EPA/CARB issue was cleared for the 2011 X5d? We've been told ours was not missing the seat module. So if emmissions have been cleared I should have it soon.

The non-diesels have cleared CARB so they were released (for the ones not waiting for seat modules).

The CARB site is updated almost daily (in fact it was updated 5/3). The diesels have not been cleared yet. Hopefully they will this week.

Those of us with week 14 builds should not be waiting on seat modules - and they have not released our cars yet. <sigh>

With 4000 new parts for facelift X5, there will be some supply issues and some initial bugs. Will take around 6 months for these issues to settle.
