"Your new BMW has been produced and is "scheduled" to ship."
Hmmm..wonder when it will ship. Dealer says they are still waiting EPA/CARB approval.

Lammy - thats bad news... The silver lining is that they are not halting production, just delivery

2011 X5 35d complete

My 2011 X5 35d is also complete and waiting for shipment. I could be at the plant/performance center within one hour from home and could pick it up myself but I guess we are still waiting for the EPA/CARB approvals. I'm planning on performance center delivery which they will not schedule until EPA/CARB approval. How sad... :(

I was told by CA that mine had been pulled from the lot for EPA certification testing and needed to get stickered. Maybe it's some vague info from the delivery centers to dealers and delays are happening to many of the diesels??? Not really sure anymore...but it's been over 2 weeks at delivery center.

My X5 XDrive 35i which was completed on 4/9 was shipped from SC to Oxnard, CA VPC today (4/13) - due to arrive on 4/28. I guess they can hold the vehicle there if the EPA approval isn't complete by then.

Got my production number but the 800 number status says there is no confirmed production date. my CA says ill have it end of May...

whats your opinion on this?

WhiteflashE90 04-14-2010 02:49 PM

I get the same status from the 800 number, no confirmed prod. date. my CA says it has a production completion date of 4/16/10 ... how can that happen if it's not in production. Is the BMW system way out of sync?
