Modified the plug on my dinan tuner to fit the fuel rail side. Per dinan they had me rio out the inner sleeve that was not compatible with fuel rail side. Seems to work. Too bad instructions with the device did not suggest that.

I saved my E70 from falling into the hands of some undeserving schmuck.
I'm now the proud new owner of a 2011 X5 35d. New to the forum. Previous diesel owner of a 2003 Jetta TDI but sold it some years back. Been in love with diesel ever since. |
Threw a fuel rail high voltage code today at startup. Disconnected my dinan tuner. Then dr Be to autozone. They gave me the details of my code. Called dinan Friday and they told me to turn down the tuner from full to one level lower and reconnect it. So far after two days no code so that is a relief.

I continued my homework on what EGR delete kit to purchase and what chip to go with.
Looking at AA Rodriguez's delete kit and Chipwerke piggyback. |

Thank you sir. I'm used to the forum thing as I'm a South Carolina redneck that likes to hunt, fish, boat, etc. I'm part of a close-knit community of guys and gals on a forum called SCDucks.com
I even met my mechanic on there oddly enough. He was a BMW tech before he went out on his own and diesel tuning is one of his specialties. |

Removed and replaced the two rear exhaust hangars and the nuts. They were heavily rusted. Now onto other components.

Threw another engine light. Guessing it's the dinan programmer again. Will unhook and travel to autozone for a hand.....
