Had FRM module replaced under warranty all tho the only symptom was a frm communications error on rheingold.

first visit they logged the error and erased it ( i told them the windows would now roll down ocasionally i lied)
second visit they replaced it and proceeded to struggle for 4 days as the new module would not communicate with programming hardware.

I guess the moral of the story is do not attempt to program the frm module as they are brittle and temperamental.

Tinted my windows with heat reflecting ceramic tint.

Got 30 degrees out of the main vent with a 97 degree ambient temp.

So today was my turn at glow plug, module, swirl flaps, and a few vaccum hoses that were crap - should have done more hoses but was tired of it.

Took about 5 hours in total - overall things went ok - getting the back nut off and dealing with the stupid BMW connectors was the hardest part. I'm deleted so no EGR removal issue

Took my intake off (again) to do the swirl flap delete and EGR delete.

Then I removed the mid-pipe and shipped the DDE off to DUDMD.

Still need to remove the DPF. Not looking forward to that.

find any water in the compartment where the dde case is? mine was full of leaves and the drains where clogged...one day found the dde submerged in 1/4 inch of water :yikes:

No, sir. Dry as a bone. Unfortunately I busted my silicone that was keeping the windshield trays together.

Not because I had to, just because I'm clumsy.
