I still haven't been able to get my bluetooth to work after some update (guessing) it still connects to the previous BT items but nothing new and nothing once it's been marked as forget. BT symbol is greyed out. When off no symbol, on white, grey only what's currently connected/on list.

Any ideas? Trying not to reformat everything if I can help it.

PS. From before..... DO NOT install "mywifitv" as it pisses off Car Launcher Pro!!

Hey everyone!
I need a little bit of help with my E53 after installing the Avin Avant 4 HU. Install went well, trimmed everything and booted it up to install the updates so on and so forth. Once installed something weird started happening. I had to take a long road trip to watkins glen for race weekend so I didn't have the time to pull it back out or check into much of the settings. When I get out of the truck and lock it with the key button the fog lights flash, then the high beams, then low beams, then fog lights. At the same time my front windows roll all the way down. I have to then go and put the key in the lock cyl and roll the windows up while locked. I'm not holding the lock button at all to activate comfort access. Weirdly, if I do not roll the windows up from the outside after they magically roll down, unlock the car to get back in and then start the car the windows roll back up. I need some help here, I wasn't able to find any settings that would make sense as to why this is happening every time I lock the car. While I can always just roll them back up by using the key in the door handle it will be pretty annoying to have to do that in the rain or god forbid I forget to and leave the windows open while i'm away from the car for a while.

Bump, AVIN support said to remove and redownload the IBUS app and update. Has anyone else come across this or know of a function I've overlooked that would cause this?

I haven't run into this problem with mine. I'd try a hard reset, take every setting back to default and see what happens. If that fixes it you can start adding or changing settings one by one and see if one of them triggers your problem.

One weird thing I have noticed with my IBUS app is that it seeks to take a bit to boot and if you don't give it a few seconds to boot the lights I have programmed to function as DRLs don't come on. I have to swipe to the second screen then back and they come on. But, if I turn the ignition to the first position and give it a few seconds before turning it all the way to start the lights come on as they are supposed to. Strange.

Yea I've noticed quite a few quirks I'll give that a shot before removing and reinstalling the app. Thanks !

I've had the IBUS app for several years across 2 different radios. I've never had oil temperature work on the display. Does everyone else see oil temp? Andre, the app programmer, has said the oil sender on the pan is bad to several other E53 owners with the same issue. I have my doubts though

Thanks! Can anyone with a 4.4 also confirm they get oil temp?

What?? Really? I was told the E53 oil temp data is not on IBUS. There's is an oil temp sender in the oil filter assembly alright, but it's connected directly to the DME and not sent to the IBUS from there and therefore it's not a reading accessible via OBDII, either. That was the explanation I read somewhere. In any case, could you please post a pic?
