Yesterday I installed the Car-Solutions eLight Ultimate in the car. The instructions were not exactly perfect translations of the German set but after reading through it a few times and looking into it I figured it out.

They left some simple things off the instructions however I managed. It works great.

I recently bought some Goodyear Eage F1's SUV spec for her. Got an alignment done at a good little independent here in Bend.

Then drove the heck out of her and nows its flipped 100k!

Went for another family outing in the X5 and ticked over another mileage mark. Man, it is so nice having that power underfoot. A few times I would get into a situation where I could simply curl my toes and find the power to move around interstate traffic so much more easily. Of course, I loved my 3.0, but I did drive it differently. And not nearly as often in the upper stratosphere of double digit speeds.

I just installed a USA SPEC iPod adapter from Crutchfield which replaces the CD changer, and it works like a charm. Even displays artist and song name on the instrument panel! Very easy DIY project.

Thumbs up

Yesterday I took the X5 into my independent shop because the "Service Engine Soon" indicator illuminated with no signs of any problems at all.

A vacuum line had sprung a leak. They replaced the hose.

A few strange errors appeared in the diagnostics: Instrument Cluster error stating the fuel gauge was reading inaccurate and some other odd thing. None of which seemed to make any real sense or cause any real problems.

Cost to Diagnose errors, reset diagnostics, new hose and installation of said hose?

$20.00! That place is the best!

If I went to the local dealer, I would still be there waiting for them to finish and it would have cost $200.00 at least.
