I do want more characters! But CD6/TR2 leaves me with no text display at all. That shouldn't happen, should it?

Why do you "prefer" CD6/TR6?

Thanks -

Devon

Tom, thanks for all the info that you sent me! I got my DICE yesterday in the mail.

I had a question for you or anyone. Does the radio need a code to get back into it like the early bimmers? I have not heard anyone say anything about radio codes.

Cheers,
Aaron

Tom,

Not sure if you saw my last reply, but have you had any luck tracking down why my Dice loses its settings when I turn the car off?

JD

Tom or anyone,
I had a question.

I have 2001 X5 3.0i w/ DSP and no CD changer installed in the cargo box. I ordered the DICE w/ Analog DSP but know i think i need the DSP adpt (digital DSP)??? I read in this link http://www.europeanautosource.com/su...mod_id=2&id=11
that 10/2002 and newer have the 6 pin connector and the below that yr have the digital DSP (maybe i am wrong???).
I do not have the cable running to the cd changer on top of the amp but would that not be there because i do not have the cd changer? Would this yr have the plug in for the coaxial wire. I went to my X when i ordered the DICE and was told (by EAS on phone) to look for the cable but maybe i should have looked for the plug in on the top of the amp???? I am just going on a road trip on the 20th for my wife and i 5th yr of being married and was going to hook it up on sunday... Any info would be great. I just thought of this an hour ago after reading a link and do not have my X5 here at this time.
Cheers,

See my other thread http://www.xoutpost.com/bsws-mobile-e...-no-audio.html ... SAME problem. My X did not have a CD changer installed. I found a 3 and 6 pin connectors. Ordered the DICE without the DSP adaptor. It DIDN"T work!!!! Text scrolls but NO AUDIO

I checked the top of the AMP and found a coax plug no cable plugged in of course because the car did not come with a changer from the factory! THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH THE ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS - telling you to look for a cable and not the plug!!!.

So cut a long story short, I got the DSP adaptor, installed it and I HAVE audio!

Thanks! So yours had a plug in on the top? Dam it, i now think i remember seeing a small plug in (coax) on the top but was more worried about looking for a cable. I guess i need to order the adaptor 1st thing tomorrow morning.

Tom, can you help me out with shipping over night???

So does the DSP adaptor plug right into that plug in on the top and did you still use the 6 pin w/ the dsp adaptor
Thanks for the fast info.

I am kind of low on money due to this trip next week.

Tom, can you help me out with shipping over night...give me a break on the price of shipping????

We have the DSP adapter here in stock, give me a call to get one ordered up. We have pretty good FedEx rates so we should be able to help. We can still get this to you on Saturday.

Glad you are now up and going - I would recommend keeping the iPod in the center armrest bucket.

Thanks for your fast post! My wife will be upset if i do not have this set up by wed...lol

What's the best way of calling you and when should i call you? Do i just plug the adaptor into the female coaxial plug in. I have no cable going to the CD changer. I do not think there was ever a cd changer and only a cass. player on the dash. The PO was the only owner.
