Available Options: Audio Configuration: Analog (non DSP)Analog DSPDigital DSP (+$80.00) BMW Sirius Equipped?: NoYes (+$20.00)

I am not sure what to chose there... I have an MK4 Navigation head unit, a CD drive behind the screen, the Navigation DVD in the boot. I do not know about Serius or DSP. How can I find out? Thanks!

You've not got Sirius, that's US only.

Do you have a DSP button (right side of the MID) or option on the Nav screen? If not you don't have DSP. If you do have DSP then you might have the Analog (newer) or Digital (older) version. If you have the Digital version which uses a digital CD Changer audio input then you wil need an Analog to Digital converter.

Choose No for the Sirius option as this is a US feature only.

DSP was never an e46 option, just get the trunk interface kit and you'll be set.

Hi Tom, Installation Question -

Hi Tom, I just recieved my DICE unit and am looking forward to using it.
Is it correct that if I have Sirius already installed (installed and working, not just pre-wired) along with a factory CD changer that all I have to do is take the existing cable that is coming FROM the Sirus unit TO the CD changer, detach it from the CD changer, and attach that to the long DICE cord that I will be running to the front of the vehicle?

Install Question

When installing the DICE unit do I need to disconnect the battery or pull an fuses? Of is it OK to just connect the 3 pin connector last?
If I can pull fuses instead of disconnecting the battery, which fuses do I pull?

Correct, do you have the slave cable coming from the Sirius receiver? It's like the one we have listed here: http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...roducts_id=235

We always recommend disconnecting the battery to be 100% sure. Afterwards, connect the 3/6 pin connectors and reattach the battery cables.

Tom, I am too much of a wimp to try to get at the Sirius module in my car to find out. But, I do have factory Sirius AND a factory CD changer, so is there any way I DON'T have the slave cable already connected to the Sirius module? I'm assuming that without the slave cable the Sirius and CD changer would not both work (they do). I have a 2005 X54.4.

If you have both CD Changer and Sirius, the slave cable is already installed. The standard trunk interface kit is all you need.
