2nd Generation MINI?
I have a 08 MINI Cooper Clubman with NAV. I read that this update doesn't work with the newer BMW NAV systems, but wasn't sure if the MINI system is the newer system as well. Could someone provide some guidance?
Thanks. |

In reply to another post, I've used Sony, Verbatim and a couple of other discs. Also used discs supplied by experienced members of this form (for which I'm very grateful). None of these work. "all" I want is to put a genuine BMW disc into my system - and hopefully that will work... I have a couple of guys from here now trying to source one from me, so thanks to all for their suggestions. |

Is it an original BMW disk or a burned copy?

I first used the original BMW disc (i've previously tried lots of burned copies that did not read).
The BMW original disc did not read either. Someone then suggested that I try a DVD version, so I burned a V32 ISO to DVD. It started to read, and started to upload (hooray, I thought). But then, halfway through, it said there was an error, ejected the disc and said press OK. I then put the original BMW CD back in to see if it would start again, but the power light went off, and the screen went black. Now all I have is the radio, which works, but nothing on the screen, and a disc stuck in the MKIV unit that I cant get out. I just tried a 3 mins pushing the eject button, then releasing and pressing again, but that didn't do anything. I now have a black screen, no sat nav and no power light to the MK IV unit. Quite a bit further back that I was before, which was just an old version of OS.... |

Success
Managed to eject the disc, and burned another image to DVD. This worked a treat, and now have V32 running beautifully....

What should one install into a 1999 Rover 75 (MK3 nav)? This is not for my car, but for a friend who would like the split screen, but retain a Rover splash screen. Would I need to go with a BMW V32 and then use navtweak to revert the splash?
