Exactly. This should be a non issue. It's veto proof so long as no one changes their vote.

Congress needs to just stick to the compromise they reached and ignore him.

The issue is about the pork shoved in by the Democrats. If anyone here thinks that sending roughly 75% of the $900 bn to foreign countries is a good idea then don't bitch that it's only $600. Trump says make it $2k per person but don't give it to anyone but Americans.

As for the timing of the relief bill you have Nancy Pelosi to thank for waiting (she wouldn't do shit till after the election) and she even said so on tv. We all know that if you were to give every American (citizens only) 330,000,000 $600 that it would total out to $198bn so $702bn is at this moment for other countries and most of that isn't for covid19 relief there...

^ The Stimulus Bill/Covid Relief Bill does not contain foreign aid or grease to orgs; that stuff is found in the $1.4 trillion omnibus spending bill.

Both bills contain huge amounts of pork/lobby driven crap and both are nearly unreadable unless one just came from a 'bill writing class'.

Both parties of the elected idiots/both houses crammed special interest pet project topics into both bills.

As for the chump change to citizens, both the current 'relief' sum and the number bandied by Ftrump, (rejected thus far by his own 'party' idiots), is chump change in the scheme of proposed and YTD spending...

The breakdown actually looks quite logical. At least the 900 billion package is.

The 1.4 trillion bill is the “regular government spending” that doesn’t have much to do with the Covid relief.

There was some pork in the bill the House approved last March. There is in almost ever bill from both sides. That was not what stalled the vote prior to the election. Simply, the Senate refused to bring the bill passed by the House to the Senate floor or negotiate with the house until it was about a week prior to the deadline. At that point a small bipartisan committee negotiated and agreed on a bill to vote through for the Trump's signature.

That was when Trump said he wanted the amount to citizens making over $75,000 to be 2,000 rather than $600. However, he did not veto the bill that would have given the house and senate the opportunity to overrule the veto.

So now the bill goes back to the bipartisan committee for negotiated revisions and then hopefully for approval by House and Senate and to Trump for approval. If the bill is signed as originally presented to Trump or even revised and signed by Trump, Biden will still request a new bill to provide relief to those still in need.

Typically, trying to deny a narcissist a stage is ineffective as that only increases their need to control and rage. In this age with all the options for communications they can't be blocked.

To effectively deal with a narcissist boundaries must be put in place. While that won't stop them either it protects one from their tactics if they hold the narcissist to those boundaries. If the narcissist crosses those boundaries there must be consequences if it is to be effective. If the narcissist refuses to stay within the boundaries the only option is to remove them from ones life. Unfortunately, this approach of setting boundaries is primarily for one on one relationships. It won't change the narcissist. They will still be as or likely more destructive somewhere else.

In some cases, if a narcissist publicly, in this case to the world, they can become destructive to themselves but that is extremely unusual. Narcissists don't get better, generally they get worse with age. As long a Trump has his followers there will be no boundaries that anyone can set that he won't cross and no consequences.

On the other hand, falling from the most powerful office on the planet potential to being found guilty in the courts of wrongdoing will be unbearable, devastating to him. It acknowledges to the public that he crossed the set boundaries and was punished by not being reelected. He will either become self destructive or find another direction that will result in his believing he is more or at least as powerful as he was as President. I don't think Trump is capable of being self destructive. He will attempt to find a way to be president again and in the meantime act as if he still is.

The primary difference in the 900 and 1.2 billon proposals is critical funding to states to reduce the cost impact from COVID 19 related expenses on their budgets. Current shortfalls will negatively impact services budgets such as first responders, schools and most importantly small businesses.

Was traveling all day yesterday so didn't know that. So now it is up to Biden to consider if the $900 billion is what is needed. That's good!
