Let me also remind you, RIOTS! They have been going on for sometime now. You are getting hung up on the ONE last week, when in fact there have been MULTIPLE riots taking place for awhile now. Some people have lost everything due to the rioting. Lost lives, their dreams smashed when their businesses were burned to the ground, losing everything! Lives completely devastated by violence that the Vice President elect said, “should happen”. Have you lost anything due to rioting?

First Amendment freedoms are most in danger when the government seeks to control thought or to justify its laws for that impermissible end. The right to think is the beginning of freedom, and speech must be protected from the government because speech is the beginning of thought.

I think for you to have any substantial perception of me from behind your computer screen is silly. I am just like anyone else here voicing my opinion on an Internet forum. What strikes me is, how offended you are by it. Sure attacks go back and fourth here. But there just discussions, nothing more, nothing less. If someone feels the need to escalate it beyond simple discussions, and resort to violence, then that would make you no different then those inciting violence in our country today. You don’t condone violence, right?

This sub forum is an excellent illustration of the 2 party system's success at maintaining the us vs them mentality among the electorate.

Even nominating Trump as a candidate for the Republican party was a slap in the face to actual republican voters. They are supposed to be the party of law and order, family, and faith. None of which Trump subscribes to any further than lip-service. So, when it is said that "half the country supported Trump" that's probably less accurate than saying "half the country supported the Republican party." Those who would vote Red regardless of the name on the ballot. And obviously, the same can be said for Biden. Not all of those who voted for him are Biden supporters. I sure as hell am not, but I wanted the stain on the Flag from Trump to be as small as possible.

Our republic will thrive when the electorate realizes the "us vs them" should be all Americans vs the American gov't. They serve us, not the other way around. Things were turned backwards at some point.

You asked me to moderate others. That's why I asked who. I'm not moderating anyone and have no intention to do so. I just wanted to know who you thought should be moderated.

Differences of opinion are vital to making good decisions. It prompts more in depth thinking of the pros and cons. The ideal forum is when the goal of all involved is to make the best unified decision possible. The group can explore multiple scenarios to test their worth and have confidence in the final decision. The group is then committed to the implementation plan--The most important and hardest part of the process to accomplish successfully.

We are not making decisions here. We are expressing opinions. We are debating our opinions. A lively debate that is not face to face and without a moderator is destined to fail, nothing will be accomplished. There is no consideration that another opinion might have merit. There is no moderator here and we aren't face to face so if we are to have constructive dialogue it is up to each of us to moderate ourselves.

I enjoy political debates. Especially those that are centered on whether Trump has been good or bad for the nation. IMO he has done nothing to expand the middle class or improve the lives of those in poverty. He is a threat to our democracy. I don't think there is any question he has been bad for the nation and I believe his legacy will be that he has been the worst of all presidents.

I don't agree with blocking or censoring anyone in a political forum but I agree with this poem by Ruby Redfort:
